According to BBC News it is actually a business jet. They did mention initial reports indicated an A310 had gone down.

Here is the BBC account - it does suggest that it was a biz jet, not an A310.

VS.

SkyNews reports that the aircraft flipped and burst into flames on take-off.

If the report is accurate and the jet did flip, they were very lucky indeed to survive.

So looks like it was a N-reg'ed CL60.

The jet was indeed a biz jet which left from Vnukovo airport in Moscow. Vnukovo although developing rapidly would be the airport that all VIP's, official delegation etc use and has a bespoke business terminal.
The pilot was American with two other Russian crew on board. I watched the report on Russian news and they claim one engine was on fire at take off. Snow was whiteout conditions.

Glad they all survived.
