Maxjet Sale £299 each way

Just noticed Maxjet are having a sale. Not bad prices either.

Normally MaxJet has included taxes in the advertised fares but this current sale does not include taxes. Still not a bad deal, so ~750 quid London to Las Vegas return + $130 Las Vegas to San Francisco return.

The GBP prices do include taxes - £599 to LAS return! And that's Monday to Thursday - no Saturday night stay! Watch out JetWet here we come

Does this mean that they are finding it tough? Great fare for the punters but they must be pushing their operating margin limits with deals like this?

Right that's it, I must not look at airfare deals again. Deal was to good to miss. Just booked to go to Las Vegas. £1197 inc. for the both of us with Max jet, now I just need suggestions for hotels, so if anyone can offer best places to look and book it would be much appreciated.

I booked the same deal to LAS when they had their anniversary sale in November for travel next week. I'm off on Thursday, let's hope their planes don't tech again!

Have a look at the hotel websites, we got a really good deal with MGM signature and paid an additional $25 per night for an upgrade from a jnr suite to a 1 bed suite. The price lowered a couple of weeks after the booking and the hotel confirmed they would honour the lower price.

If possible, always book with the hotel direct because they usually honour a lower price, even after the original booking.

A little bird tells me that the Stratosphere has excellent rates and that you occasionally run into V-Flyers there:D

You can look at any hotel and find dodgy reviews, in the end you get what you pay for, some people expect to come to Vegas and get everything for nothing, these days with corps. running 99% of the casino's about the only thing you will get for free are drinks...as long as you are gambling.

Now I may be a little biased here, but for the rates you can find for the Strat, you are in my biased opinion getting a pretty good deal.

BTW the casino floor was just re-molded, a new night club is going in ( that is HUGE) and the rooms are about to be redone again.

Absolutely, though I would say that sometimes even when you are paying exorbitant room rates, the service and facilities are poor.

A number of us stayed at the Strat back in Nov 2005, and for what we paid we were all happy. If I had paid $400 night (which is easily done in Vegas), then I would not have been, but in reality when we were paying barely 1/10th of that, then not so.

I'm looking at the Platinum Hotel and TI, got rates of $1060 for 7 nights.

Will the re-modelled rooms at the Strat be ready by 30th August. Any ideas as to what they will be like?

Do not stay at the Platinum Hotel, way off the strip, but it does have a good restaurant.

Hi Dave, its just the rooms looked really nice (Solitaire suite) and I found a good price. I don't have a clue about Vegas, so any advice is much appreciated.

NP, yes the rooms do look nice, but it is a good two blocks from the strip, not so good.If your looking for something like that I would say the Signature at the MGM is the way to go, if you do a quick search you should find some reviews of it on here.

It's also loadsa money............
