Hi,
Anyone flown ANZ from LA to Nadi? I see from the website that the aircraft used does not have the flatbed/UCS configuration. Even with this in mind, they seem to be a better option than Air Pacific. Any background info gratefully received.

Hi, we did this flight the other way round, from NAN to LAX - it was on a 767-300. Was a few years ago and we were in Economy, the flight was fine though, on time and good food & choice of wines.

Cheers

Yeh I have done it as well.

Is operated by 763 and will be for a good few years yet. Was an excellent service as always by NZ crews. The a/c hasn't been refitted so old school IFE and seats. Its a long old haul at 11hours. Is always packed out with expats flying back to the UK and backpackers on RTW tickets.

Air Pacific a/c are ex SQ so all have seat back tvs but business product is dire. NZ now codeshare with Air Pacific on the route. There is a daily service- 3 being operated by NZ and 4 by Air Pacific.

TBH there isn't much to choose between them. They both leave at the same time, both offer simular inflight service etc. Air NZ of course serve the same terminal as VS at LAX where as Air Pacific are in with BA and QF at the TOm Bradley.

I would say go for NZ- food is great, service is fab, lovely wines- you cant go wrong and earn FC miles!

Did this a couple of years ago, but NAN-LAX in Economy. I agree, flights clean, tidy on time, great food and wine. Would recommend!

I would actually like to try out Air Pacific for something different, although if they have no IFE, I don't think I could stomach an 11 hour flight.

Thanks everyone. We are pretty much sold on Air NZ but nice to have it confirmed.
