Has anyone tried the purple parking at LGW meet and greet service? Is it good value at £131 for 2 weeks?

Or can anyone point me in the best direction for parking in general. I won't be staying overnight at a hotel as I am only an hour away.

thanks
Iain

I've used the Parking Express @ Gatwick South, booked via the BAA website, for the past 3 years and found that to be fine.

BAA.Com also gets my vote ... They've become very price competitive over the last 2 years.

Ace parking at LGW did a brilliant deal for me on the meet and greet service! Can't remember the price exactly, but it was only about £10 more than normal parking (where you have to wait for shuttle...)[y]

Parking express gets a thumbs up from me [y]... Booked through BAA.

After seeing a consumer programme, not sure if it was watchdog or rogue traders, regarding the meet and greet service from some providers I've steered well clear of them.

Another vote for parking express. I check the prices on BAA.com & http://www.holidayextras.co.uk and book the cheapest as they can vary.

Was it not Ace parking that got busted on Watchdog or something?!

oh yes.... just saw that, but I had no problems... but maybe I was just lucky? [?] I guess you can't trust people these days! At least ACE has volunteered to work with West Sussex Constabulary and Watchdog to ensure this doesn't continue....

Last time I was going from Gatwick I used NCP Flightpath at the North Terminal, depsite flying from the South Terminal. I was just shopping around, and at the time, they were a good £30 cheaper than Parking Express, so I booked a place with them. Its not really a big deal going between the two terminals, so that didn't bother me at all, and as you parked your car yourself and took the keys with you, I felt a lot happier leaving the car there than at a place that could drive your car wherever they wanted.

Thx. I'll have to check North Terminal parking prices the next time I book. Just for clarification, Parking Express is also a park yourself / take keys with you operation...

Iain,
You're welcome to use my car park if you want to. It's not secure and is about a £10 taxi ride to LGW South.
