About bloody time. The brand new mega £££££££ Channel Tunnel Rail Link (CTRL) is running at around TWENTY PERCENT capacity.
I'd love to see DB running their beautiful ICE3's to St Pancras. Train/Tunnel compatibility is the key issue though.

I agree, John. [y]
The St. Pancras International facility is such a brilliant station - and so convenient for travel from Nottingham, that is should be used more.
Especially if increased competition means cheaper fares. [:w]

This can only be a good thing, especially as the route stops at stratford (Olympic centraal)!
I'm guessing that this would mean more cities being served (hopefully). Bordeaux, Marseille and Milan all appear to be on the European high speed rail network...

Agree it's wonderful - and good competitor to Eurostar too, might raise the game [y].
