Hi All,
Just a week to go until we're off to Key West.Have been many times to Florida but have only spent half a day in Key West as a cruise stop. Basically we're looking for advise re-good Restaurants and bars. I know Key West has quite a reputation as a Party town. Not looking for anything too busy or touristy just somewhere with a good atmosphere and friendly vibe.
Any recommendations gratefully received[y]

It is a long time since we have been to Key West.
I like
Islamorada, which you pass through on the way down t Key West.
We stayed at a place called
Pelican Cove, but there were lots of small, friendly places to stay and eat in the area.

Try Cheeseburgers for the best burger you'll ever have (better than Johnny Rockets, Hard Rock and the Clubhouse burger and that's saying something)

Bo's fish wagon on the corner of Caroline and Williams is worth a visit for cold beer, conch fritters and atmosphere.

Here are some:
- for lunch simple and reasonable Half Shell Raw Bar on the harbour, try to sit by the window (better than Turtle Kraals)
- Blue Heaven for Keys food, out in the open, the cuban pork is fabulous
- Seven Fish for smarter though still casual and very tasty seafood (reservations recommended)
- burgers at Pepe's Cafe - about the best and it's a wonderful breakfast spot too (opens very early for boat people!)
Kelly's Caribbean Bar is good for drinks at the Dakota wing bar, not so good for food
- Cafe Marquesa is very good and pricey but an excellent wine list
- Michael's if you are steak fans
Have a great time!

I'm also looking at hotels/accomodation in Florida Keys, want something for a week at the end of April. Can anyone recommend anywhere? Also, weather wise, I'm assuming it should be warm then?

'"Mrs Kered' & I were there in June 07 for a cousins wedding & loved the place.
On one of the days we all had lunch at
'Sara Beths' which we found to be really nice.
Then on the evening of the wedding itself
