I'd like to visit her on our forthcoming trip as the attraction hadn't opened on our last visit (her wings were literally 'clipped' [:#] and there had been storm damage to the hanger).Has anyone visited yet? The info on the website is abysmal - my plan would be to do a tour once we've dropped the bags off for our return flight.
Thanks.
DL

No but I did fly her once LHR-BGI: BGI was pretty neat because unlike LHR or JFK, there were no airbridges, so you could take some pretty decent photos on the tarmac. Also the trip took about four hours so you got to enjoy the service more. One useless snippet of information was that they could never fly her fully loaded to BGI because of the increased range compared to LHR-JFK, with a max of 80 pax or so as I remember.

It would be a real shame if they've let her become derelict.

I saw her in 2004 when she was parked outside BGI. The salty sea air really wasnt doing her any good at all so I hope that they have managed to preserve her.

DL - Trip Advisor has a few reviews on the tour, mostly positive about seeing the plane but less positive about the experience, referring it to a bit of a conveyer belt. You only get 30 mins apparently, including watching two films. Sounds similar to our experience at MAN, except we got a lot more time onboard and were able to take lots of pictures and to walk about the cabin.

Thanks,
Sarah

Years ago pre-2001 I was doing some work experience at LHR and was given the opportunity to sit in the right hand side seat in the flight deck of Concorde when they towed it from the hangar to it's stand in T4 - that was brilliant! [8D]

Visited the Concorde experience this morning and I have to say I was like a kid in a sweetie shop. I never stopped smiling throughout the whole time. She looks amazing and they have done a great job with the whole thing which is all enclosed in a lovely air con hangar.
2 flight simulators to play on as well[:D]

Just beware of the sonic boom[;)]

Even Mrs Iforr was impressed[:0]
