Serves them right. If you've ever had a mound of fat draped over your leg from the person next to you, it can darn near ruin your flight. You fly in my airpsace, you suffer the consequences.

Yup, just read my Trip report back from LAX last year in Economy. I almost had the same think happen to me GJ.

Yes, but they could come in handy if your plane ever crashes, in the Andes for example [}:)]

my 4 foot nothing mother-in-law was once touted for an excess baggage charge at LHR. she turned round and pointed hard at an 'extremely overweight' person in the queue (she's like that unfortunately, probably from being an expat mining family ), and said 'I'll pay if myself & my bags weigh more than his combined weight'...
They waived the charge..!
