SFO to Hyatt on Embarcadero

Bit late in the day to ask this....
For anyone with knowledge of the area...
We've too much luggage (and 2 young kids) to comfortably use the BART to get to our hotel from SFO. The hotel is on Embarcadero.
Does anyone know is a cab is likely to be too expensive or should we use the shuttle buses from the airport (sadly the hotel does not run its own shuttle).
I'd been thinking that we'd use the cab up until now, but having just done our maps for the holiday I realised the hotel is a fair distance from the airport.

I had a quick look and it's coming out at USD107, would anyone know if that is more expensive that a cab?

Not sure about cost of a cab but there are a load of limo / shuttle bus companies listed on the ground transportation page of SFO

If you are willing to share your ride, the various shuttle busses are really the most economical I would think. There are busses that make stops at all the major hotels. You can buy the tickets near baggage claim. As for a cab, if you have a lot of luggage one cab will likely not be large enough to hold the family as well.

That is why I use Virgin Limos as one cab is not big enough for me and my bags [:w][:I]

If you want to keep the costs down why not use the Bart to the nearest stop to the hotel and then get a cab.

The BART would be perfect because the Embarcadero stop is right outside the hotel.
I am reassessing the luggage situation, and will do a call on whether it's viable when we're there.
Had a check. Shuttles look like USD15 per person and Cab around USD50-55.

Think the nearest B.A.R.T is Powell Street and that's around 3 blocks away if you want to walk it.
Taxis are around $40+ from the airport but don't quote me on that - not sure if they run a fixed fare like from JFK to Manhattan for example or if it depends on traffic, which scenic route the driver takes etc

Taxis are not fixed cost in SF.
Cheapest: BART. You will have a good five minutes to board the train at SFO. The BART station is in the international terminal. You will exit immigration, turn right, walk 400 feet, up the escalator, turn left, walk 75 feet and you are there. The SFO stop is a terminus for the BART so you will get a seat and can pick a seat near the door. I suggest getting your bags ready 2 stops before the Embarcadero stop. The Hyatt is about 450 feet from the Emarcadero stop.
BART is the best option. Unless you have more than two bags (non hand bag) per person, stick with the BART

Thanks for all the advice.
If all is well, i.e. not too tired, kids behaving, luggage behaving, then we'll try BARTing it. Cab otherwise.

Last sept we stayed nearby at Fishermans Wharf and a cab from SFO was if i recall about $45. Was very quick and saved waiitng for the shared shuttle.
