Hi Folks,
we plan a trip in September using a cruise to get from the UK to NYC then flying Continental to TPA then back to NYS then the morning flight to LHR. This will cost $2220 each. If we add another flight from LHR to NYC is costs $858 each. What happens if we don't use the last flight please?

If you don't use the last flight in your itinary, then you'll be listed as a no show, but that about it. However, if your talking about the LHR to NYC leg (effectivly replacing the cruise) then all your other Virgin Sectors will automatically cancel out.

Have a word with the cruise company as they often do special fares on one-way flights when purchased with the cruise.

Thanks Darren and IGuy, I should of course have put NYC not NYS in my initial post The cruise company cannot help as it cannot do the internal flights and it is a USA cruise broker.
If I "no show" or even ring up and cancel the last leg for some important reason can I be surcharged the difference?

If you don't turn up for the return leg, nothing will happen. You won't have to pay more or anything.
Just make sure that the green counterfoil from the I-94w is removed from your passports.

Which leg wont you use? LHR - NYC or NYC - LHR (sorry wasn't clear to me)
But whatever way around it is it would be as what others have said. Nothing will happen if you don't use the return leg of the ticket - just make sure you book it the right way round !

Many thanks all. As we will be back in the UK we will not have a green piece of the I94 and it is the last leg.

so your last leg is NYC to LHR?
In that case you need to buy a NYC - LHR return and the I94 will be removed when you check in at whatever NYC airport you depart from to get back to the UK.

At times they may beat a quick internet search, but it is rare, using miles to get a reward seat is still the best/cheapest way to go.

Airlines reserve the right to charge you the difference between a round trip and a one way fare, so whatever you do
DO NOT call them, just no show, the less they know the better.
As the LHR - EWR is the last leg I wouldn't worry about it.
