Argh! What is currently replacing the GEX, (loads of problems on southern) the masses have decided that it has been declassified! Whilst not wanting to sound like a snob, I paid for first class to avoid loads of people.

Does anyone have experience of claiming a refund for declassified train journeys?

Thanks

Yes Southern were in a mess today because of over-running engineering between Clapham Junction and Victoria. Not sure what they were doing as not mentioned on the Network Rail website but they were at it all over Christmas and due to finish intime for this morning.

Got an 'interesting' train from Victoria to Ore home - via Brixton and Tulse Hill getting off at Streatham Common. Not sure how part of the line managed to cope with a 12 car train when even a 4 car train is 'long'

National Rail enquiries is reporting GEX as being cancelled today so a screen shot should help when you write in. They may say you got to LGW so 'tough' but I think they should at least refund you the differenece between the GEX and the 'normal' Southern Train fare.
