I booked a Jet Blue flight back in November 2010 to fly one-way from Tampa into Boston on April 29th. I'd been watching the fare price fluctuate and then suddenly it rose by $20, so I booked my required six seats just in case the fare price went even higher.

Its always difficult to know just when to press that 'book' button but generally following the trend with Virgin Atlantic fares, rarely things come down.

However I've noticed today that Jet Blue have significantly reduced the Tampa fare by $59 per person. We won't benefit coz I purchased non-refundable fares.

Whilst in Florida we are visiting a friend who tells me that her family are not planning their usual 'spring break' visit to see her from New York & California because of the high domestic fares.

I am now wondering whether Jet Blue have finally seen some sense and perhaps this could start a new trend? When I looked at our flight seat plan early today, the plane was virtually empty. Now, nine hours later, the seats are beginning to fill up already

Pretty good economics >> Overcharge and you'll get very few takers but provide a reasonable price and watch the punters march in y).

I sent an e-mail to Jet Blue earlier today after I'd seen the price reduction just to check that my tickets were the non-refundable type and unbelievably I have been told "We have issued you a credit in the amount of $354.00". This has been put into a Jet Blue credit account which expires in 365days time but that it pretty decent Customer Service I think Hev

When searching for domestic flights I always look at WN, VX and B6, they may not always have the best price, but they all give great service.

This is the fantastic comment I received from Jet Blue "Thank you for contacting JetBlue Airways. If a sale fare is available on your same flight and same day at the time we receive your email or call, we will honor the lower fare and place the difference in a JetBlue credit".

They are pretty good, but it's also pretty damned good selling - you don't get your cash back, and having it in a credit account means you'll take another flight with them.

Already onto it. Only needed an excuse so VS into New York, couple of nice late summer days there and then Jet Blue into Buffalo to see Niagara Falls
