I do wish the media would stop using Skytrax as the definitive guide to airlines. Anyone who know anything about airlines views their rating with deep suspicion.

From what I have seen via TR's on A'Net, once you actually get a ticket, the experience isn't that bad. Good food, plenty of seat space, the IFE sucks, but it's by no means a 1 star.
