`First, the agency does not “confiscate” banned goods; the passenger “surrenders” them`.

Aha ha ha aha ha; I just choked on my cappucino.

I`m deliberating that we`surrender` our `banned` items to `security control` in the UK; my concern is that those central bins full of jars of honey, water, toothpaste et al, must be carefully managed lest they reach critical mass, and something terrible occurs.

After being subjected to a whole body scan at JFK, I asked the operator if he knew how much radiation was involved. He wasn`t aware exactly how much but reassured me that `it is very low`. I suggested that he might want to look at the manufacturer`s data with respect to repeated exposure (suspicious frequent flyers) and for himself, as he is the one standing next to, and operating, the machine.

Sent from Ryokan Aburaya Tousen, Yudanaka where, to quote from `Django Unchained` outside is `snowy snow`.
