Good morning from the Gold Circle lounge in DUB

Greetings, dear V-Flyers. I'm happy to report that honey lamb is once more on her travels but not out of her beloved Cork airport but, what is rapidly becoming a second favourite after years of denigrating it, Dublin. The lounge here is very nice and quiet - certainly much nicer than the DAA one next door which I experienced on my trip on Emirates last year. It is long and narrow with a self service bar half way down where drinks and snacks are available as well as alcoholic drinks. There is a mezzanine area which is a quiet zone but, in truth, it is so quiet in here right now that it is hardly worth it, although at busy times it will be different. I haven't explored it but the sign at the bottom of the stairs said that showers are available.

If anyone is overnighting in DUB, I can heartily recommend the Carlton Hotel. Five minutes on the free shuttle and as pleasant a staff as you could wish for.

Are you going to tell us, or do we have to wait for the trip report?

No. You'll just have to wait. ): Mind you on a scale of 1-10 on honey lamb disasters, this, so far, is at the lower end of the scale.

Don't worry, I am sure it was something minor like the cap on the gin bottle in the handbag was not screwed on properly. Taxiiiiii

I would love to go back there and stay at the hotel on the main drag...we overnighted in a fine b&b, but the night we were there it was foggy and the hotel looked very atmospheric.

But, it's not (all) about me, so have a great time.
