Hope everyone is well.
So did olci and got seq99
and now camping out at the MO before flight tomorrow.
Just realised that I left my headphones in the boot of my car which is too far away now to get so wondering if the headphones you get in BA CW be ok to use with my phone?
and so what have others realisef they forgot?

When we went to Australia, my underwear didn't make it into the suitcases...

Well just last weekend on a theatre trip to London I left my Oyster card at home which I've never done. I didn't realise that single tickets on the tube are now £4.80, so that's cost me nearly a tenner for 2 trips, shocking! :0 :0

You might be able to pick up some cheap headphones at the Dixons store in duty free or possibly worls duty free or the newsagents

As far as I remember the jacks on the headphones in CW were the old large size not the smaller phone size.


Don't recall ever forgetting anything (I have a list to tick off) but a couple of times I've done a "wish I'd brought that"

My driving licence, on a Holiday to Miami, didn't realise until we went to to the car rental desk!

If it's the same headphones they give out in WT+ then they're pefectly acceptable although quality can vary as they're soentimes refurbed. In fact my son uses his on his iPad and we had to ban him as he can't hear us talking to him him when he's in the zone (I think this is a deliberate tactic).

As for forgetting something yes all the time. When away on business I usualy have to buy something, shirts, trousers, shoes, socks, toothbrush done it all (but not at the same time).

I once also forgot passports, took a taxi to the train station (some 3 miles from our home then, though it's 10 now), and then remembered whilst on the platform waiting for the train. Fortunately I was able to dash back home and get them and not miss the train, but if we had done, OMG I don't even wanna go there!

My cabin bag is not my normal laptop bag, so one one occasion I forgot to pack the magsafe power adapter for the MacBook (left it in the "normal" laptop bag). Thankfully the long battery life was enough to see me through a few days in Dubai.

Bretty - I'm fairly certain you can use a contactless debit card as if it was an Oyster card on London Transport now.

Indeed you can (and credit cards too) and there is a daily cap as well.

Paper travelcards also available from stations as well.

Didn't know about the contactless cards. A day travel card was no use to me as I just needed single tickets on each day. My OH ribbed me summat rotten for forgetting. Hey ho...

OH's driving licence + counterpart when touring NZ - I'd had the brilliant ?| notion that we should take copies of such essentials. And I left the original on the scanner. Spent a weekend with friends years ago and found I'd not packed nightwear. And I am SO not one for sleeping without such refinements.

No matter how much I pack, there will always be something that's exactly what I need for whatever we're doing but is still in the wardrobe at home.

When we lived in Kent, we once got quite a way up the M20 before OH decided he maybe hadn't locked the front door, so we had to go all the way back. Not really "things you forgot to pack" but "sort of". :w

Of course DragonLady never forgets anything.

That's because she takes everything!

Not that the guys would get it but I once managed to leave my makeup bag and hair straighteners behind when transferring a few essentials from an overnight bag from attending a wedding to a prepacked suitcase ready at home to travel straight to LHR. Disaster!!!

It's not what I forget to pack, rather forgetting to keep something back!
Did the twilight checkin at Gatwick a few years ago but forgot to retrieve the toothbrushes and tooth paste before hand.
With the help of some mints and keeping a safe distance from fellow travellers the situation was resolved. :$

The only thing I can recall is a couple of years ago forgot to put in hubby's cc for the car hire people. As I usually take care of all payments ( think he has forgotten all PIN numbers and how to use a cc) They accepted the one in my name. I usually pack too many clothes and never wear half of them, ( one has to be given a choice).

Hubby co- ordinates and always takes the minimum of everything.

Driving licence has been an issue in the past but most recently it's been the camera charger!
I'm packing right now and I couldn't care less if I forget something...as long as I have my "tickets, money, passports" I know I'm on my way.

i kept finding that i had forgotten some minor things.
think im really tired as normally im super orgnised.

Much as it pains me some years ago we ( Mr DL) forgot to put a case in the car ( it had been packed though ).
I only found out when we got to LHR :0.

Have a great night; enjoy the lounge and cannot wait for the VS / BA lounge and flight comparison. Phase II of my TR will be up before you get to HND; the Intercontinental Tokyo Bay makes for a great viewing platform for flights inbound / outbound to HND; add in FlightRadar24 and that's 15 minutes of relaxation over a morning coffee.

As posted last night; shaving soap (I had the brush) and electronic luggage scales.

Previously, I've also forgotten to pack:

Bose QC headphones and on one short trip, chose to purchase some cheap Philips in-ear earphones which worked quite well. On the other, LHR-SFO or LHR-LAX, trip I spent a little more and bought some Sennheiser PX450s.

Workwise (never anything really important):

Tie (twice)

Cufflinks (improvised with paper clips on one occasion, rubber bands on the other)

Spare socks (purchased on the way / at the airport)

Spare boxer shorts (purchased on the way / at the airport)

D2X battery charger (luckily, I had 2 fully charged batteries)

Well, with those voluminous Australian style shorts I could have got away with it...

I used to be like that but had grown out of it...until the time we went away for the weekend only to be rung up by a concerned neighbour about the fact that our front door was open. Our son had gone away the same weekend but left after we did, and was so anxious to be with his beloved he didn't check the door..

Done that a few times on trips in the UK, including the time just after offspring #2 had been born. By this time offspring #1 was quite mobile and needing little in the way of accompanying paraphenalia, so we went away completely forgetting nappies, bottles, milk, sterilising tablets etc....

I was on a 2 day work trip (in the UK) last year which ended up being extended to 4 nights but I didn't have enough clothes or underwear!!!!

When I told my Boss I was happy to stay on but had this predicament she suggested using a laundry service except I was saying in a Premier Inn. Fortunately I discovered a Sainsburys nearby and was able to buy emergency bits and pieces - thanks god for TU clothing.

As a result I now carry spare knickers in my handbag. Hubby thought it was hilerious as its the only time ever I haven't taken spare clothing on a trip. Needless to say it's the only time it'll ever happen as I am back to over packing even if it's only one night away.

Well I am currently in South Carolina.
I have just been for a cycle ride and my hands are frozen.
I forgot gloves and cycle clips.
Never mind it is supposed to warm up in a couple of days.
I always forget something. I have forgotten so many things over the years that I have forgotten what I have forgotten.

I always bring at least one, if not two extra changes in case of any unforeseen delays/accidents etc.

In spite of my disaster-prone tendencies when travelling, I really cannot think of any things I forgot to pack except for a clean pair of socks for Aer John when we went to a niece's wedding further up the country - something easily remedied!

In the run up to any international trip I will always at least once dream about being at the airport and forgetting my Passport!! Thankfully it's never happened!!
