Heathrow hotel for overnight

This time last year I read here about great deals via lastminute.com for the Sofitel Hotel at Heathrow. We got a brilliant deal and it was a lovely hotel, especially as we was flying out of T5.

I don't want to trust the M25 on the morning of our flight so I am looking to book a nice hotel, I know staying near to T3 is more sensible but does anyone know of any offers/discounts on the Sofitel. This hotel doesn't seem to be listed on 'lastminute' as a secret hotel :0

If not the Sofitel, we have regularly stayed at the Premier Inn on Bath Road, 5mins away from Heathrow. Very nice hotel, lovely rooms and if you book up early enough you can get it for £39 a room - Bargain.

Don't forget though that you can travel from T5 to T3 on the HEX for free. Not ideal if you have lots of baggage though.

We have actually reserved a room the the Premier Inn Bath Road as it does have good reviews - didn't get a room for £39 tbough ii)

However we would like another stay at the Sofitel so we will keep a close eye on the web sites - haven't seen it on Lastminute since the autumn. Yes slinky09 we would use the HEx if we did stay there as we do not have too much luggage on the way out - on the return well that's another thing! ):

It's still listed on there but a little 'harder' to spot - for some reason is now listed as a 4* Top Secret hotel, perhaps to try and hide it a bit better?

However it still says 'connected to terminal 5' and in the more detailed description says it's a 5* - Both of which the Sofitel is the only one at the airport!

Thanks Duggy83 - followed your link. There are bookable rooms on either side of the night we require but it comes up 'no rooms available on this date' It may be worth a telephone call but I bet Lastminute.com have used up their allocation ii)

You can get good Sofitel deals direct via Accor too. Just need to look out for their sporadic offers.

We are staying at the Sofitel LHR in April for £90/night with free breakfasts for 2 people. Bargain.

I would love to help you out Hev60, really I would, but my stay is a few days earlier. Sorry ):

Really, we don't need to stay the night before as our flight to Tokyo is not until 19.30 the next day. But the stress of driving down the same day and risking getting caught up in a motorway traffic jam is too stressful to contemplate :0 And a days extra vacation in that there London is always a bonus, maybe take in a show or a meal in town ^)

Hope you can find a good deal.

Yes Maximus know what you mean about the stress of driving to Heathrow. We have to do M25 or North Circular + M4 which are horrid roads. That's why I'm an advocate of Stansted but that's never going to happen

Anyway we'll keep looking at the Sofitel - not the best for convenience to T3 but I just loved it.

Enjoy your trip
