What are people's experiences of this scheme?

Let's just say I was less than impressed when I got the email yesterday yesterday for my stay in San Francisco next week for 6 nights at a VIP hotel.

My special VIP extra - a drink at the bar. Yes a single drink at the bar. Not one a night but one single drink!

I wasn't expecting an upgrade to the presidential suite or free breakfast every day but one drink is a bit of an insult if you ask me.

Maybe if I'd booked 6 separate nights ?? lol


So anyone else got an Expedia VIP amenity and if so what did you get?

I had one previous Expedia VIP booking where I received nothing extra what so ever that I was aware of which was at The Langham in Chicago.

I've also got one booked in a few weeks at the Seaport Hotel, Boston as I'm heading to Provincetown but the VS arrival time from MAN gets me into BOS after the last ferry so I have to over-night there and that was the nearest hotel to the ferry terminal.

I did put Expedia points towards that booking and I did got double off with it being a VIP property.

I'll let you know if I get anything else there.
