Thomsonfly COV problems

The NIMBYS in the villages (notably Bibbenhall) around Coventry Airport are kicking up a huge stink over Thomsonflys plans to fly passenger flights from their starting the end of this month.
see http://www.thomsonfly.com/en/index.html
From a financial asp[ect, I hope Thomsonfly get going, as I have booked three seats for June to Malaga, at a total price including taxes of £150, compared to Birmingham (my closest airport) at £500.
These people all use their cars (posh village, not small eco cars!) and take their holidays from other airports, but are complaining about the environmental aspect of using Coventry!
