Is there any other way of knowing if you've spent the required 14k a year to qualify for a companion flight, other than adding your expenditure for a year? Does Virgin flag up to you that you've done this? If not (and I suspect not!) - how do you know when you year starts anyway????
Puzzled.... [:?]

No, in my experience, they don't tell you when you have reached the threshold. If you don't ask for the ticket, you don't seem to get it.
There are several discussions in this forum about it.
As I understand it, the 'year' is twelve months from the date you took out the card. So, even if you spend 15k in two months, you don't get the voucher until your year is up.

Thanks for that Nick. I did suspect there'd be forums about this - but finding them is something else....
Excuse me while I creep away and add up what I've spent.....[:X]
