This is the 3rd time we have flown UC on this route and sadly the last as Virgin will not be flying this route as of the end of the year, I also think it will be the last flight on a beloved 747 Jumbo.
The club house was fantastic as usual, never anything to moan about as the staff, food and drinks are all excellent.
We boarded quickly and soon had a glass or two of a very pleasant champagne in hand, after take off the FM introduced her self and made us feel very valued, something we love about Virgin, they do seem to make you feel that your loyalty is appreciated.
We enjoyed a lovely meal finishing it with a very nice plate of cheese and biscuits and the obligatory glass of port.
It was obvious from the start that a lot of the other 12 passengers were experiencing UC for the first time, one family of three, two adults and a young man made it their mission to get as inebriated as possible before finally falling asleep, the mothers behaviour was so embarrassing for the young man and just annoying to the other passengers and crew.
We managed to get a few hours rest before ordering one of the fantastic burgers that are available on board and soon found ourselves landing in Cancun to start our holiday.
The crew were, as they always are, very attentive, friendly and efficient even in testing circumstances they are always polite and helpful.
We will really miss this small 747 UC cabin and the attentive service that it offers.

Lovely to hear a great TR. Sounds like mum was a bit tanked!

I think we have a few years left of the 747s as the LGW config 350's wont come on stream for a little while yet!
