I can count to 100, should I desire, and know the names of the months...

That'll be handy assuming all cocktails in Tokyo are named after days of the month...

Really looking forward to your trip reports - can't wait till I go again in May.
I hope you get lucky like me and be one of a few non-Japanese on the flight - you will sail through customs.
Get the Limousine Bus into the city - the train is slower once you take into account the walking in the stations and all those stairs (the interchanges between lines in Tokyo subway stations can be brutal). The view as you approach Tokyo on the expressway on the bus is outstanding. They have good leg room and even bottle holders for your first Japanese vending machine purchase.
The exchange rate is good right now so your money will go a long way

Best wishes
Paul

Nooooooo! [:o] Drat! I really did want to see the Blossom.
Anyone up for a quick visit to Mount Fuji VIA Bullet Train perhaps?

8 days and counting ..
Thanks,
Sarah

Thats a possibility, especially as we've now freed up Saturday and Sunday. It needs to be on a bullet train though, no local service nonsense...
Even if we go and look and walk around, whats the nearest Shinkasen station to Fuji?*
Dean
* I have my Time Out guide in the bathroom, I could just go and look

AFAIK - Bullet Train to San-Fuji station on the Tokaido Shinkansen (Dark Blue line)
This link is quite helpful.
Thanks,
Sarah
