What would you buy Sandra?

Hello all,

During an overnight at LGW on Tuesday I managed to leave my day planner in the baggage claim. I'd only just bought it (which isn't easy with Franklin Covey, their website sucks) and I guess I haven't got used to having it around yet.

I can always buy another planner but the notes from three days of client meetings in Gibraltar would be a major pain to replace. So I place a call to Gatwicks lost and found office and the lovely Sandra informs me that it's there and she made the arrangements to mail it to me here in Malta.

I'd like to send a token of appreciation but having not lived in the UK for years I don't know the 'in/cool' things to order online. Flowers are nice but a little cliche'd, anyone got any nice ideas? I was thinking of a budget around 50 pounds and I would need to order it online.

Adam

I would buy her a nice bottle of Champagne, flowers and some chocolate. :)

Adam,
That's a great story. If you only sent her a handwritten note of thanks, she would be thrilled. On second thought, have some flowers delivered to her office and send the note of thanks to her supervisor!

I'd second that. They are very good cakes, and a welcome change from the cliche of flowers and chocolates.

Thanks,
Richard

And what if she's on a diet or diabetic?

Then she will have the pleasure of sharing her lovely cakes with some friends!! It will be the thought that counts!!!

And if she is on a diet then a little cake never hurt anyone!!

Why are you feeling sorry for Sarah - there have been plenty of good ideas?

He said Sarah (in other words Lady Mannion ;) ), not Sandra the would-be recipient

Yeah I knew that - and I still dont understand why Paul is feeling sorry for her? Flowers and chocs are a little clichŽd???

I agree with Mavrick[^][^]......champagne all the way.
It's the thought that counts.
Or maybe I am addicted to the thought of those lovely little bubbles. Mesmeric are they?[ii]
Do tell us the final decision.
