Off Topic in Threads - Warning

PostPosted: 06 Apr 2008, 20:14

Phew!

I went off topic in a thread. Luckily, GrinningJackanapes has warned me of the severe danger of doing so on V-flyer in this thread. (v-snipers?) [:0]

http://www.v-flyer.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=23967

A timely warning for someone who's only 6 posts in to his v-flyer career. [y]. I can only apologise most humbly.

Anyway, I know a little more about footy than him because 'Shute' is spelt 'Shoot'. [:D]

PS. 'I like wearing clothes to the CH' ..... Can I take them off when I get there?

Ok well welcome to VF..happy now [:p]

Just a word of warning though, hanging around with the likes of GJ is likely to get you a bad rep..much better hanging around with the likes of Neil [:0]

EDIT: duck the s**t's going to fly after that one [:w]

As you may of noticed, Man U is sacred ground for Mr GJ...I guess we all have our cross to carry....

I am pleased to see you still drawing breath! I was honestly worried about you -- one step off the path and you could hit a mine, blow your leg off, and marry a Beatle. I want to save you from these things, and make your membership at V-Flyer as delight-filled as possible.

May I offer you a few other thoughts that will create joy for you in these environs? Here they are:

* You will do well to worship your betters, and no one is as better than anyone as Their Graces, The Lord Richard of Mannion and his comely consort, The Lady Sarah of Mannion. We bestow upon them all that they deserve, including obeisance, respect, honour, Diet Coke (LRoM) and red wine (LSoM).
* Adopt a tone of banal disinterest whenever possible when in the threads.
* Disdain Hull and all its people.
* Anoraky is not the same as anarchy.
* When you ask a question, you will likely get an answer from someone using lots of finger-waggers and frownies. Ignore them.
* Cops have the best spleef.

That is all. Enjoy yourself. Especially when MUFC hoist the League Cup in a couple weeks.

Hi Slipperman and welcome to VF.

BTW - the longer you are here the more you will realise not to listen to a word GJ says .... all tosh, all of it.

Mind you that Neil ... well, least said the better.

As to OT, I hardly felt you were, but then I don't usually feel anything

My thanks GJ for these wise words

* You will do well to worship your betters, and no one is as better than anyone as Their Graces, The Lord Richard of Mannion and his comely consort, The Lady Sarah of Mannion. We bestow upon them all that they deserve, including obeisance, respect, honour, Diet Coke (LRoM) and red wine (LSoM).

These greats, I am aware of. The cleanest of underware is worn whilst reading their posts.

* Adopt a tone of banal disinterest whenever possible when in the threads.

Yeah, right, whatever!

* Disdain Hull and all its people.

Tricky, my nephew's partner comes from there....yet, strangly I know what you mean.

* Anoraky is not the same as anarchy.

Unless you depose the government on a rainy day.

* When you ask a question, you will likely get an answer from someone using lots of finger-waggers and frownies. Ignore them.

Surely not [V], are you certain [:?], that's really unfair [:(!], let's get them [}:)]

* Cops have the best spleef.

I will trust you on that.

Thanks for the welcome Slinky and Scrooge.

It's OK about GJ. I lived in Manchester for 4 years so I know about the MUFC types.

Aye they're a dodgy sort, whether they live in Salford or Seattle they're best avoided unless Man Utd lose a game and Fergie tries to pass the blame onto somebody else.

With regards to the Hull bit I see nothings changed during my few busy weeks away. [:p]
