How many Easter Eggs did everyone get today?

I'll start it off: None!

I'm not feeling as left out now LOL!

As a child, I was never given any Easter Eggs - we were given a present such as a book instead. Now as an adult - nothing!

Given 1, eaten 2. ;-)

A few given out , and 3 received, plus I will no doubt come to some arrangement with Luke to have his eggs also (I'll buy him a couple of blu-rays or something).

Gotta love Easter.

It really sucks, I miss Easter eggs and am amazed that the US has caught on by now.

Yeah, I was amazed how the whole egg thing didn't happen in the US, very strange. Although maybe it means it is more about the real celebration of Easter rather than just getting the eggs as seems to be the case with the children in the UK nowadays.

What, you mean the pagan festival of the goddess Eostre or the German tradition of eating hares and eggs? Much like the phrase "real meaning of Christmas", most religious festivals tend to be re-appropriations of an earlier knees-up, and absorb parts of the previous celebrations wholesale (Yule Logs, gift-giving, etc) - probably because rather than get the populous to adopt a whole new set of ideas and traditions, it's easier to put a sign on the door saying "under new management".

The mdvipond household enjoyed a thoroughly pagan Easter day (although we skipped on the hare this year).

Tizer was the lucky recipient of 19 Easter eggs, thanks in part to an egg hunt around the village with one of her friends. In the interests of not looking like a beached whale in Barbados in three weeks I'm trying to avoid helping her get through them, but I'm pretty sure that the Borg were right when they said 'resistance is futile'...

No eggs for me, quite happily, but then I haven't received an easter egg since I was a small child. When I was about 11 or 12 I asked my Uncles and Aunties if I could have money or books instead and they happily agreed.

I cant get over how much easter eggs cost! I saw them in the shop the other day as I was getting some fruit and veg and most of them are £3-£5. Considering you don't actually get that much chocolate, and that unless they are Cadbury's the chocolate isnt that nice they are a real rip off.

I have now realised what a witch I must seem as I have never bought an easter egg for my goddaughter

I got a cream egg from the chief officer at work (not just me - she got one for everyone!).

Am waiting to see if Hotel Chocolate have a sale tomorrow. Though in preference a box is better value than an egg !
