NASA Chooses Space Shuttles’ Retirement Homes

I know there are several shuttle fans on here as well as fans of the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum in NYC and the Udvar-Hazy centre in DC so this news will appeal to all !

I was at the Museum of Flight in Seattle a few days ago - they will be very disappointed that they aren't getting one. As the article says, construction was well underway on the 'space wing' by the aeropark. Sounds from the article as if they are getting sent a training mock-up though.
