Hey all.

I'm looking to take the GF somewhere warm, nice, unspoilt and sunny towards the end of Sept. Probably for a long weekend / 5 days. I've thought about Sicily - Have any of you any recommendations? I'd love to go and see Etna also if I can fit it in!!!

Hi Woggledog - personally I love Sicily and Taoramina is a popular resort to watch the well heeled beautiful Italians in their designer clothes, sunglasses and accessory dogs, strut their stuff.

Mount Etna is interesting for a visit and also spectacular to view from the gardens in Taoramina.

Im not sure if the cable cars are back up and running but the four wheel drive tours up the volcano are fun for getting up the peak.

Fantastic local cheeses and Etna Rosa wine are well worth a try - enhanced by the fertile volcanic soil apparently!
