Hello Claire and welcome.

Flight delays are a regular. More regular than most people would like. These can be caused by a lot of things. Late arrival of the incoming aircraft, crew sickness, crew 'out of hours', late arrival of cleaners, fuel trucks etc. They can also be spot repairs. These are nothing to be alarmed at, but wouldn't you prefer that any issue no matter how large or small is dealt with before the next flight?

I checked the incoming flight today and it was slightly later than expected (7:40am vs 7:25 expected) and the same aircraft is due out later than expected today at 2:15.

The upside of this is that this will likely all sort itself out time wise by the time you travel.

One of the ops team may be able to tell us why this specific aircraft was late but I doubt that a 'few hours' delay even constitutes a big problem.

The other thing to consider is that the aircraft you will be travelling on will likely NOT be this same aircraft due to rotations.

Todays aircraft is G-VAST.

Hope this helps, and don't worry yourself

According to the DIBB the flight has now been canx.

Checked MCO airports site arrivals also show flight as canx.

Most probably had a tech issue that needs more time. So either we shall see another attempt tomorrow with the same aircraft or a movement fligtht tonight.

G-VAST left Manchester 15 minutes late as VS75 yesterday so whatever issue was there is obviously now resolved.

I was there to see Hot Lips start to spool but it stopped and returned to the terminal as flight VS075. I had no radio so cant advise what they were reporting. Trying to upload a photo of this at the moment.

Not much detail i know.

*EDIT* Would seem to have been the Barbados flight, I will get my coat
