There will be elements of the "Best of British" menu on the VS900 alongside traditional Japanese choices. Hope this helps.

They had Bangers and Mash on the HKG - LHR flight at the weekend. Didn't have any of the main meals though so can't comment on them.

I think JetStreamer has already been more than helpful by providing the information that he has. I respect his decision, and am grateful for the information he chooses to share with us here, along with our other staffers. They should feel comfortable that they will not be forced to say/reveal anything that may impede their positions. I am personally aware of a number of changes/projects that are underway but use discretion to decide what elements can be revealed here before the proper launch. The recent Flying Club changes was one of them, and it helped me in regards to the V-Book not to spend time writing lots of new content that would be out of date. We waited until VS had done the annoucement themselves before posting our release. UCS is another, the people involved were under a NDA not to discuss the project at all.

Paul,

The "worst that can happen" is that VS feel a leak has occured through staff members posting confidential information on this site. (Which they don't currently do)

If that happened, I'm sure you'll agree, it wouldn't be for anyone's benefit - least of all jetstreamer's...



As Richard, I'm grateful for the information (and "heads ups") that staff members CAN give us, and respect their judgement on what remains sensitive/confidential information - and therefore not published on a website that all can see.

Guys just to add some perspective to my post it was a little tongue in cheek.

I would never want anyone to go against an NDA and I have been on both sides of these and they are there for valid reasons.

I really was just trying to make a point that it is only a menu choice, today is the go live date so people will already know anyway.

Within the businesses I have been involved in I have never been happy working on a need to know basis unless it is really commercially sensitive information.

I am all for freedom of information.

That's all, no big deal really and to be honest my life will continue without a problem not knowing what the menu is.

Lets let the proof be in the pudding!

We have had on this forum alone a load of people ask for more basic dishes, well, thats what we have! And its not just a case of the food, but how it is prepared and presented that are key factors.

Im not a fan of 'Porky whites', but i have not seen the full menu, nor tasted it, so will decline to comment. However, on my return from DXB, having sampled the full UC menu offerings, along with several other V-Flyers, i shall more than happily give my penneth worth. In light of this, i feel its only my duty to the forum to sample the full four courses! :)

Mmmm.... Now if that was on the menu, id be pointing to 'meal choice No.3' quicker than you can say 'Supersize me'!!! All thats missing is the Macaroni Cheese!!
