We're off to MCO in October and thought it would be nice to treat mum, dad, sister and brother-in-law for a ride along. Phoned up on Thursday morning to see what was available and I was shocked they had four PE on sat 7th and back 21st. Needed to check with the family to the premier team held them to 10pm Monday.

Needless to say it didn't take that long for us to call them back but thumbs up for the premier team :D

Can I suggest you send FC an email praising them? I always do if someone has given me great service or been extra helpful.
People are quick to complain but sadly not so quick to praise.
Call centre work can be quite monotonous (spelling?) but letters/emails of praise can be very motivating.

I agree, praise where its due. Customer Services staff will appreciate it and in turn it may help others to receive a better service.

I did, I emailed them last night.

Could I impose on you all as I'm not use to this PE thing. Obviously with the two of us in UC we can take them into the CH and the Delta Lounge. But they asked me what seats they would like. Not sounding 'ab-fabish' but I have no idea of this Y/W and what seats are any good. Now all the seats on the map upstairs have green boxes around. So they booked them in 74 on the way out and 76 on the way back. I had a good chat to the lady from premier team who lives down the road to me and she said that she wasn't aware of any one better than the others (apart from the exit road) so any surgestions would be welcome. We can olci and nab the exits if they're ok.

Incidently she said how the downstairs PE is not going down well, amongst AU at least she commented on how people phone up and book rather than on line as they refuse to fly downstairs!!! So they end up booking and if they get the seats downstairs a lot will cancel and book another flight/time!!!!!

The general consensus does seem to be that "going on top" is best. However, ISTBC but believe you cannot nab the exit seats on line. Best thing would be to update your booking and nab some good seats, then hope for the exits on the day. In PE you do not pay for exits. If you are all using the CH you have a good excuse to get to the airport early so that you stand a better chance of getting the exits.

You may also be interested in viewing the recent photos of the new section of the CH if you have not done so already.

Except that they're going to MCO and therefore from LGW

Hi Ade

Wish I had a relative like you!. As far as I know though, you can only take one guest each into the Clubhouse.

Regards

Pat

We're both on UC tickets and that normally at least until about 8 weeks ago meant we can take two guest in each ISTBC if anyone else knows. Thanks

Sorry Ade,

The number of guests permitted through Gold/Upper Class is not combinable (unless the lounge staff are particularly lenient on the day). Each Upper Class or Gold passenger can take a MAXIMUM of 1 guest in each I'm afraid.

With your tickets/cards, that means a total of 4 entries into the Clubhouse, including yourselves.

About a year ago I was in NYC have a whale of a time. Its was the usual short trip of 40 hours or so, but it was going so well. Got to 7pm on the Sunday and decided not to fly back at 11pm that night. Rang up FC and asked if there was any chance I could have a miles seat on a Monday evening. After 30 mins of chatting and general gossiping with some guy in the USA I got a seat back to LHR on the Monday night for 18k and a little 2k bonus credited to my account too. God knows what the credit was for, maybe I made the guys night! I was a little tipsy at the time.

Thanks to Virgin. I had another great weekend in NYC and got to spend more time with my BF, and it only cost me £40 to stay another night (oh I wish all tix were changeable for a fee)

Last year it was possible to buy LGW clubhouse access at the entrance desk for around £35, I haven't heard if this has been stopped.
