Hi,

Flying to BGI at the end of the month in UC. Got 6A&K, 7A&K reserved. If i use OLCI are these pretty much confirmed? VS said when I called that if a passenger with an infant requires row 6 they can have it???? Very confused!!

Thanks,

T

Yeah if there's a sky cot in that seat and you've checked into it without an infant, they will move you out of that seat to accomodate the party travelling with an infant.

This is whether you've reserved the seat or already checked into it. It's part and parcel of sitting in a seat with a sky cot. It happens in Y all time, but isn't so common in J.

There's definitely no skycot/bassinet position at 6A/K, so not sure why VS would give either seat to a pax with an infant.

Can't mdvipond's question, but I have experienced a move in Upper Class to accommodate travelling with children (not infants). When I flew to MCO three weeks ago (it seems so long ago...), I had booked 6A and 6K when it was only me plus one. We did a last minute switch and the check in staff had to rearrange a couple of other pax so I had both my daughters (aged 8 and 9) sat with me. The three of us ended up in 6, 7 and 8 A.

The only slightly iffy thing was that the guy in 8A had checked in first, so when we got onto the plane, he was sat in my seat.

Only because the process is not entirely seamless. Mr 8A could have been warned by cabin crew or by the gate staff that he had been moved before he got himself comfortable.

Hmmm. We've got 6A/K - our faves - on our way out to BGI next month, but only lowly 8A/K on the return. Since we're travelling with mdvipond jr. (6 months and teething - bet you're glad you're not on our flight!) I wonder if there's any chance of a move...

Out of curiosity, gave FC a bell and asked what the chances were of moving La Famille mdvipond into 6A/K. Nice lady told us that the seats were already taken but, as we have a baby and this is 'a bassinet position' (didn't want to cloud the issue by telling her she was wrong...) that she'd request the seats for us and we should get priority. Now, what's that odd sensation I'm feeling...? Guilt, perchance...? Nah. [}:)]
