My Boyfriend is a Virgin frequent flyer and has a silver card but can never seem to find any flights that he can use for us to go on holiday. Does anyone know how the best times to fly and what destination?

We would be eternally grateful for the hints.[/font=Arial]

Hi Sara, and welcome [y]

Basically, you need to go for unpopular days to be assured of availability. Have you tried Tues-Thurs departures?

The other thing to do is book as far in advance as you can, as soon after they are released as possible.

What class are you trying to book in. Booking UC seats on the LGW routes - especially Las Vegas - is very dificult, but if you give us an idea of where your want to go, which class and when - I am sure there will be more tips / hints.

Also routes such as NY and LA will always have more availability (as these routes have serveral flights a day so greater capacity than less frequently flown routes)

Hi Sara,
Very glad to have you with us.

You might also consider alternative destinations to your preferred one, using another carrier to get you the rest of the way there.
But, as Nick says, we can give you better ideas if we know where you'd like to travel.

Lets use know where you want to go. you know to do not have to do a straight return. You could fly from London to San Francisco then domestical on say B6 (JetBlue) Oakland (just across the bay), CA to JFK and then go to London from there.
