Now this may seem to be a bit of a stupid question.

We are flying to Dubai next week and booked in PE row 19 seats A+C. Now whilst having a quick look for PE pics on A net I came across this pic

Link here

(sorry dont know how to shorten!) preiffer : done ;)

Now I know its a -600 in the pic and Dubai is running 90% -300's but my question is this....

There doesn't seem to be a windows for row 19!! (second row from the front). Does anyone know if this is the same for the -300's?? If so can anyone recommend an alternative seat selection.

How strange and well spotted Gelding - I really hadn't noticed that before on the A346's [:0]

If you have a look at an external pic of a -600 here it looks like row 19 is under where the 'V' is on the word 'Virgin' as there's no window there for some reason [:?]

The -300's have windows in all PE rows. Take a look at this photo PE starts where the letter 'G' of 'Virgin' goes across the window.

Edit - if you look at a Lufthansa A346 or a Thai A346 there also looks to be no window in roughly the same place as well. It looks like it's an A346 thing.....

HTH

I seem to recall that my first trip in PE was on an A343 to JNB and we had seats 19A&C. If my memory serves me correctly (and I believe it does) they had windows. I can only ever remember one flight where we had seats where there were no windows - and that wasn't a VS flight

I noticed that last month and on our flight back home from MIA which is scheduled to be a 346. We had the pick of the seats in PE and went for 20 A&C because of that.[y]

Also if you read the seat reviews for the 346 Buffy makes the comment that there is no window there.[n]

Just out of interest - and linked to this topic - but how many of us really want or like a window seat - I know theres a view of some description at take off and landing and obviously there are views at certain times during the flight - but on most flights I tend to be using the IFE or reading so the window is not that important - and I will often go for a walk and look out when I do so?

I also find the aisle seat easier for getting in and out to the loo, walking about etc??

Just a thought?[:?]

There is also no window on row 34 of the 744. I found that out the hard way on a flight back from LAX a few years ago!

I found that there was a bit less room where there wasn't a window.

SeatGuru also says that seats 19A and 19K are missing a window.
