Hi Chris,

VH sectors are non-upgradeable via miles unfortunately. You can either speak to VH and pay them for an upgrade or try your luck at the ticket desk on your day of departure. Miles are out of the question though as their fares are so heavily discounted.....

Hope this helps........:)

The return upgrade with VH to UCS is £1200, assuming they have allocation available, they are primarily only allocated two UCS seats per flight, sometimes nearer the time VA allocates more to them.

PE is about £490 round trip.

Yes, you can upgrade either leg or upgrade 1 way to PE and the other to Upper (dependant on availability of course)

Sometimes its tricky to upgrade from a VH ticket as its not classed as a full fare economy ticket. However on my last trip to MIA they were upgrading anyone from economy to PE or from PE to UCS at the same price - I think load factors play a part and also what promotions VS are running at the time.

Could i upgrade the outbound to PE via VS instead of Virgin Holidays?

You cannot upgrade a VH booking via VS, as they have a special rate, so any upgrades would have to be done through VH.

all the same you can check on the day at the airport.....

If you definitely want to fly PE then my advice would be to upgrade with VH - they always seem to have a good deal!! And if you are a FVC member then you will get 10% off!!

Some times they have special deals on the day of departure where you can buy an upgrade - it doesn't matter that you booked with VH.

Although part of me is tempted to say it's quite a short flight, maybe just pay for some exit rows and spend spend spend down the malls and markets when you're there!
