Dubai/BA "R" class?

So I am in Dubai, and it is amazing... I recommend the Jumeirah Beach Hotel to everybody! Went to the Burj Al Arab for afternoon tea and what a treat it is, the cost isn't too bad either (~£40pp). I will do a TR as soon as I return, I promise [:w] Thanks to everybody for their info, it has come in very useful.

Anyway, could anyone tell me if R class on BA domestic is changable to an earlier flight (LHR-EDI) and will it get me into the terraces lounge, as we have a longgg wait at LHR on the return leg. VS400 was excellent, PE service was amazing and we are looking forward to the return leg (does anybody think it would be possible to Upgrade on the return leg at the airport and how much would it be from pe (H class) for 3 of us?)

You might me able to get an earlier flight back to EDI - just ask when you get back to LHR. BA can only say no and you'd have to wait for your booked flight. It will depend on loads. BMI have done this once for me as I was also very early and they put on on the earlier MAN flight home.

Upgrading a 'H' V Hols PE fare to Upper will be in the region of ~£600 per person which can be done at the airport. Might be less but it wont be much less I'm afriad and again will depend on loads.

The official line on R class is while it can be changed, any change must be made no later than the day PRIOR to travel. No changes permitted on the day of travel. However it may all depend on who you get at BA on the day.

Nae luck! R class, as you said is not changable today. They could have put us on standby, but there was no guarantee so we just left it. The return flight with VS was on G-VEIL and it was fantastic, ofcourse the new purple leather seats in PE made it even nicer.

TR coming soon, still waiting for this blasted flight to EDI.
