Does anyone know how to tell what booking class ticket you will get when you book flights through expedia as they do not know? Also how do I get the website to return a B or L class ticket price not an N or Y class.

This is one of my pet hates with the VS website - It doesn't give you fare buckets.

They only way to know for sure is to double-check the fare on expertflyer or call VS reservations.

I cannot help with Expedia but I suspect it's the same case with their site.

Hope this helps.....;)

It all depends, but usually a fair bit, obviously Y&N are cheapers as the are not flexible where as with the others you are paying for the flexibilty, is that something you really need?

That's really going to depend on route, time of year, etc.
I recently upgraded a Q-Q economy LHR-SFO, which I flew very recently, to B-L, at a cost of around £140. Not sure about from N.

Phil,

B's and L's can be significantly more than N's - It really depends on what route and during what season you plan to travel.

Here is an example from Expertflyer for a JFK roundtrip for November -

N - £162 + airport fees and surcharges

L - £360 + airport fees and surcharges

B- £410 + airport fees and surcharges.

Best of luck with what you decide. ;)

Prob best to give VS a ring as they will be able to give you diff prices for diff booking classes over the phone.
