I have just been checking the Z fares for MCO for 2007. These seem to have taken a sharp increase. The flight I booked about a year ago for my trip to MCO in Sept 2006 I paid £1260ish inc taxes. For May next year (any time during may) the best Z price I can get is nearly £1500.

As BA has just announced record profits I am sure VS will follow suit. I think we need more competition on this route.

BTW, Q fares for May next year seem to be nearly £700 also.

I take it this is for LGW-MCO flights or does this apply to MAN and GLA.

Seems to me that MCO might be hiking up landing/handlig fees again. If so no wonder the dreaded 'S' worded airport in Seminole County is attracting new airlines because of their cheap landing fees (and small facilities).

Well it is still early for fares,I guess you could wait or try going through another airport.

We flew to MCO in April this year.
Just been looking at next years prices for same time and they have only gone up £30.
They are coming up at £1316 each.

I have just checked the April fares and they are much lower. I wonder if it will be a case of the may fare will drop or if May is that time that signifies a price increase

Paul,

I noticed this as well but for Sept / Oct this year - they are all in the region of £1500 where as I have usually paid around £1300 in Jan and June .

Demand outnumbering supply I think.

When we were pricing up our holiday, last year for this year, April was cheaper than May.

This year the £1316 is for departures on April 22nd returning on May 12th (2007)

We've booked MAN-MCO Z fare May17-26 2007 cost us £1526.10 eac incl. tax etc, was £1371 w/o taxes.
That fare has now dropped by £50 each, not overly bothered as we needed those dates.
