This (skip to the bottom of article) was a little interesting bit of news. According to them, the DOT has told them that the application for Virgin America to begin flights is almost complete, and that they will take public comments on the issue until August 2nd and replies to public comments until August 16. There's no date set yet for a final decision, but now that the comment deadlines are coming up, I doubt a response by the DOT is far away. I know I'm biased, but I really do have a feeling that Virgin America will get permission to fly.
