All this talk about "The Base" and "The Office" got me thinking... Are either of these places interesting buildings or just non-descript offices/warehouse units on the edge of Crawley? For an airline that likes to think of itself as glamourous/trendy...does it manage this in the bits the public don't see?

I ask as there weren't any clear results in Google as to where VS is based...

The Office is within an office estate called Manor Royal. Inside its modern and bright and is the main headquaters for VS. you will see some staff still hard at work as we are all partying!

I've been to 'The Office' a few times and it's quite a nice facility. Main building is square with the middle section cut out and then the restauratnt in the middle, so you can walk round the gardens in between. Has it's own V.Touch facility though! And the restaurant is not too shabby either, way better than many corporate restuarants I have used!!

Thanks,
Richard

FYI you can get a number 10 bus from Gatwick airport to Manor Royal. The trip is only about 10 mins. I'm sure a taxi wont cost the earth, either. Buses run all night on this route (every 30 mins), and there are trains all night back to London. It does seem a bit of a shame that they've not put on coaches to central London though. I think we'll be leaving early enough to get home with a degree of comfort, rather than staying overnight. Airport hotels are hardly the most glamorous of destinations, and I have a sh*tload of things to do on saturday, sadly!
Mind you - the other half doesnt drink... I wonder if I could persuade him to drive :D ::starts plotting::

So - how are we all going to recognise each other then?

I will have red carnation in my button hole and have a copy on the times under my arm! [:p]:DThere are a few pictures on the photo gallery none of me though (thank god!)Or we could just go around shouting V Flyer at people (however they may think you are a little mad!)

I will no doubt be at the bar, propping it up! [:o)]

We had an email last night saying they had just found another 100 pairs of tickets (behind a sofa or somewhere...) and they were available on a first come first served basis.

I replied last night but think I left it too late...If I hadn't been watching Catherine Tate on the TV drive, trying to soak up the two pints of 7.0% Perry with a kebab and chips I might have got us tickets [:#]

Oh well, everybody enjoy the "do"!

ooh change of plan...
We had an email through saying we've won tickets on the first come first served competition.
Now just need to sort out the logistics at short notice?
Are there shuttle buses to Crawley, or just from?
