This was my UC menu on the VS65 LGW - MBJ


STARTERS

Devon crab cakes served with creamy dill dressing

Brocolli & hartington creamery stilton soup served with a selection of warm breads

MAIN COURSES

Traditional beef hotpot served with roasted winter vegtables

Rustic fish bake with croxton manor cheddar & mash topping and mushroom and white wine sauce served with cramed leek & crushed carrot stack

Higgidy mushroom & spinach pie served with warm butter bean salad and beetroor chutney


CHEESE

Cropwell bishop shropshire blue

Quicke`s farmhouse cheddar

Manor farm capricorn goat`s cheese


DESSERT

Bramley apple and backberry crumble served with custard

Festive rhubarb trifle


AFTERNOON TEA

Selection of finger cut sandwiches (poached salmon & watercress, wiltshire gammon & english mustard, free range egg mayo & cress)

Warm fruit scone served with tiptree strawberry jam and roddas cornish clotted cream

choice of cakes from cake stand - banbury cake, choc shortbread ,bakewell slice.

I'm not a mod but it seems just fine here! Thanks for the wine list - that was omitted from the VS site page on the new menu.

Did you find anything to/not to your liking?

vs_i, who's getting tired of jerky, cheese, carrots, and nuts on US carriers - looking forward to something else across the pond...

i had the crab fishcakes which were yummy followed by the beef hotpot which lacked enough beef and had far too much veg.

I wanted to try the farmhouse cheddar but it had almonds & hazelnuts in it(whats that all about?)

No one offered the dessert and there was no cake stand on the bar so didnt get any, although i am sure that if i had asked i would have received it.
