Just tried checking in for the VS12 tomorrow (7 Jan) and it requested I had to fill in the field for "Permanent Resident Identity Card Number" even though it isn't flagged as a mandatory field. I just entered "0" for it and then clicked to proceed and then it said it was unable to check me in. Never been asked that before??

Trying again after that and I just get as far as the screen asking if I wish to check in anyone else, click Continue and I just get a blank page. [:(!]

Anyone else getting issues?

Just enter your passport number again into the Permanent Resident Identity Card Number box. You will also need to enter your passport expiry date again as well. That always works for me.

Yup, same here, the only way this works is to put the passport number in twice.

Could be the same problem I have - Ask if you are on a US watch list. If you are welcome to the club

Good point Paul, I had forgotten about your plight. [:I] For those who haven't read it, this thread, MAY explain rupsingh's problem.

My buddy has the same problem, his name is John Smith, and we believe there is someone else with the same name on a watch list.

I have a slighty off topic question about OLCI. I have a VS booking reference and I can access my booking details online. However, I am flying BD from DUB to LHR, and then VS from LHR to HKG. Both flights are available to view on CS website, however, when I go to choose my seat, a message comes up beside the BD flights saying "seats will be assigned at check-in". I can choose seats for the LHR to HKG leg no problem. Now my question is..
24 hours before my departure, can I check in for my flight online? I.E. can I also check in for my BD flight online? If I can't, do you think I can check in for my VS flight online? I don't know if the OLCI system will only allow me check in online for the second leg of my journey. Any advise would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

When I was able to view both of my segments on-line (EI out of ORK) I wasn't able to OLCI for the ORK-LHR lg but was for the VS leg.

No they didn't but then BD is a partner airline and EI isn't. Some of the others who use BD may be able to answer that one.
