Now i am regreting it. Simply i was proud to go silver then realised i would lose it in august 04 as the family holiday plans had been in non VS destinations. We have a time share in antigua and hope to go there every year, explained this to FFClub but no go on retaining silver so i did it(booked BA NCW) so cut my nose off to spite my face and feel very silly as ANU should have UCS by march. One other reason was that BA (sorry to swear here) release there flight 30 days earlier than VS any comment on that? Have just booked MCO UC in december 04 so will do trip report on NCW and UC comparison in due course.
Forgive me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(a newbie makes a mistake)

Everybody makes mistakes!

Besides NCW is a good prodoct certainly better than WT+ I fly BA every few years just to see the difference..

The fact your UC'ing to MCO will give you a great opportunity to contrast and compare.

Some people prefer Virgin others BA..no prizes for guessing which I prefer! Still one has to check out the competition to keep ahead of the game! I'm sure varous staff at VS read the VS/BA comparisions with particular innterest!

Look at it this way ... you will get to see what the competition is all about, then reassure yourself that VS UCS is the way to go!! LOL

I know how you feel as our VS trips this year fall either side of the Fc renewal date. We are taking trips on other carriers as we want to go to destinations that are not serviced by VS or partner airlines. Therefore, we decided to take a mile earning trip if we are in danger of not keeping Silver, although i doubt that will happen as we are getting itchy feet to go to LAS again.

Maybe you can grab a quick last minute flight to ANU?

So it should be at the price differential between the 2.

I will just have to do a bit more flying next year to regain silver, as all my flying is non work ie out of my pocket its a bit hard on the old bank balance. But hey who wants to be the richest man in the graveyard.
Fly today, die another day (wasnt that a film???) and........mr JB(james bond) needs to fly virgin you always see him in BA first. Maybe SRB needs to change that.

WT+ is total rubbish(would use other word but ladies about) have flown PE a few times so tried WT+ to mauritius and hey was i we all of us totaly disapointed. With PE we felt special. WT+ just WT with bigger seats, no fizzzz, no ded check in, no off the plane first....ahhhhhhhhhhhh could go on but BP up up and away (blood pressure)

Thats a great one!! I should have that as my Epitah on my gravestone!

(well, my other half would certainly agree! VS gets a nice portion of his bank balance on a regular basis!)

Don't worry too much, stephen, losing silver is a good excuse to god on a few last minute / cheap weekends to NYC / BOS to get it back again.

One look at the queues for the economy check ins convinces me it's worth it ;)
