AMEX FREE UPGRADE TO PE REWARD

Folks - is there a minimum economy seat required to take advantage of my free PE upgrade awarded to me as I have spent £5k on my Virgin AMEX - is there a catch, or can I claim even if I have an X class economy ticket??

The 'free' upgrade relates to a 'T' class reward ticket, upgrading to the 'U' class using the upgrade reward from MBNA Amex. All subject to availability.

I thought you had to spend £7,500 for a PE upgrade, the £5,000 limit is for a companion economy ticket but ISTBC

Wrong way round, 5k for PE upgrade, 7.5k for Companion, full details here
