Amex 10% MR transfer bonus

I dont remember seeing this anywhere but I've just done an Amex MR>Flying Club transfer for 1000 points and I've also received a 10% bonus as well ie 1100 miles have landed in my FC account [y]

I can't see any special offers anywhere but do seem to remember reading something about getting a bonus if you transfered several thousand MR's at once, but it looks like the bonus is applied to all transfers

James, was this from a VS amex or an Amex Amex?

Sorry I should have made it a bit clearer. It's Amex Amex and not the VS Amex.

Are you sure "popped" is the correct verb for that sort of transaction?!

UK Amex cards, I'm assuming? Didn't see any mention of it on my statement (US based card). Too bad - I have a number of points available to transfer.
