Which seats are held for check-in?

Greetings all,

My flight from LHR-JNB in PremEcon has just been changed from a 346 to a 744 (so I get the Upper Deck...woo hoo).

I'm planning on arriving at the airport first thing in the morning to check in my bags. Which seats are held back from online check-in that I may be able to choose from when I arrive at the airport?

Also, I'm currently in 74C - as I have never flown in PremEcon before - if I had to move to 74A, would I be able to get up without disturbing the person next to me?

Without question the best PE seats on the upper deck are Row 70 - but these are the ones that are held back until you check in at the airport because they are exit row seats - you get loads more room although you don't get much place to put stuff if you are in the c seat.

If you choose any other a or window seat you cannot get up without the other person moving, but then you do get use of the bin next to your seat, which can also be used as an extra table.

I would def say use OLCI and try and change to row 70, you won't regret it.
