Dave

I was going to say that it depends on what booking class the RTW fare is booked in but I've just checked MMF valid fare codes:

Economy: Y,B,L,M,V,Q,X,N
Premium: W,S,K,H
Upper: J,D,Z

So basically most fares now count :D

Wow - when did they change that? [:0]

Still, it's a very positive change [y] (that they didn't mention [ii])

Got it from here Paul:

MMF T & C's

3.2.4 For every person you refer who joins Flying Club, you will earn miles on the basis of the cabin in which they complete their first round trip with Virgin Atlantic: the following miles will be awarded: Economy (Y,B,L,M,V,Q,X,N) 2,000 miles, Premium Economy (W,S,K,H) 5,000 miles and Upper Class (J,D,Z) 10,000 miles. Miles will only be credited once travel has been completed, not at time of booking. Miles cannot be earned on any free or reduced rate tickets including discounted, without limitation, reward travel, free upgrade and travel agent or industry discounts, Miles Plus Money, infant and complimentary tickets. Travel on codeshare flights and partner airlines will not qualify for miles.
