...but when I book flights for myself and my son do I get miles and TP for both the tickets or just mine?

Similarly, if a friend flies with me and I make the booking and pay for the flights would I get the miles and TP for her flight too?

Thanks!

You just get them for yourself, and your son/friend colect them on their own account, no matter who paid for the tickets. I think there's a lower age limit for children having their own account though (12?)If you're Au, I believe you can get a card for children under 18 that credits their miles to your account, but I don't know if it works for TP as well.

yep need to be at least 12

family members of Au holders remain red and dont earn tier points as per FC T&C's:

Family Account members will not receive any tier points or membership recognition for any of the qualifying Virgin Atlantic flights taken

Whilst that's still not 100% clear that the AU holder doesn't get them, thats my take!

I guess thats so a AU doesnt retain gold on a single family trip!

You get the miles direct into your account but no tps on juniors ticket.
