checkin at EWR times

Hello all,
I am taking a trip to YOW, and managed to get a cheaper fare by routing myself through NYC (saved 250) and of course contributed to my VS miles balance, in a way Air Canada never could. On my return I fly into EWR around 12.45pm, but I am cathching the 9pm VS002. Will I be able to check my bag in at that point (its heavy so dont fancy lugging it around Manhattan) Does anyone know when the checkin opens ?

According to the VS website, I think the answer will be no.

It opens up early morning for the VS18, then opens up again at 1730 for the VS2.

I know after 9/11, the idea of a left luggage locker was a no-no anywhere in NYC, but don't know if that has been relaxed at all now.

Edit : According tothis website that Google brought up, there is a left luggage facility in Terminal B.

I would suggest you arrive as early as possible if you plan on using the CH. The EWR CH is very small in comparison to the JFK CH. Very nice CH!
