Hello

I was going to try and buy an exit row seat for my outbound flight to SFO once I get to the airport (paid for PE for return journey but couldn't afford the upgrade to PE for outbound as well [:#])

My connecting flight will get me to LHR about 3.5 hours prior to flight - will that be enough time for getting the exit seat?

Also - I have seen a couple of reports on here that say the IFE Vport systems at exit rows and bulkheads are more likely to have technical problems - is that accurate or are they the same as the rest???

Thanks

Jo

It is hard to say if 3.5 hours will be enough. You would hope, and I would be pretty confident that you should be ok but if other people check in before you and bag them then there isn't much you can do.

As regards to the IFE, the reason that you might read the screens in the Exit Row/Bulkheads are more prone to problems is due to the weird way they are stored in the seats and with them being moved up and down constantly. I however have sat in these seats on numerous occasions and have now had 1 problem up to now so either I have been lucky or the problem isn't a major one.

Thanks Neil, anything that gives me a bit more leg room is fab - I'll take my chances with the IFE
