I have a trip booked to Miami in January when booking res advised that the scheduled operating aircraft would have the suites.

When checking the seatmaps through my booking on the web it shows upper deck as PE and front of lower deck as UCS for outbound does anybody have any info on good seats to book for this config.

Cheers

Why not look here to see others seat reviews?

Sounds like you are going to be on a LGW Gatwick Suite Plane with all PE upstairs and UCS in the nose downstairs.

I'm booked on 005 on Jan 7th and when I try to choose a seat it says the seatmap is currently unavailable and that the seats will be allocated at check in. There's me, the wife and baby daughter (on lap). Is this a problem?

Problem solved... A quick call to customer services secured 74 A&C on the way out and 74 H&K on the way back!

The reason I asked is as there were no comments posted for this config. But then again I (or my computer) maybe a little wacky.

That's probably because the first one has only just been fitted and hasn't returned to service yet. If you look at Zone A though of the LHR 747-400 suite (rows 6 to 12) you'll get a reasonable idea as the layout will be almost identical. The LGW will have a small bar instead of the in flight beauty area.

A couple of recent posts here have suggested that 6A & K current rating might not be reflective of everyone's experience and might be good for couples.

Seems a bit odd though that a LGW 747 will be flying from LHR during the time LGW planes are being taken out for refits. It has been posted here that 2 of the LHR planes are going to get the same config and will then share the LGW/MAN routes - but I thought this would be later rather than sooner?

Regards
